What is the CamDocUK Small Grants Scheme?
CamDocUK is a charity which brings together Cameroonian Doctors living in the UK to improve the health of Cameroonians in the UK and in Cameroon. We raise money mainly from donations and fundraising activities to support projects that have an impact on the health of Cameroonians.

The grant gives a chance to apply for a grant of between £500 and £1000 for projects that aim to improve the health of local Cameroonian communities in the UK and in Cameroon.
You can apply for the grant if you are an individual, not for profit / voluntary or community group, social enterprise or statutory body in the UK or in Cameroon.

We will fund a range of projects which bring local people together to improve and promote health of Cameroonians.

What can you apply for?
Awards can fund a range of activities such as:

• putting on an event, activity, training course or running a campaign
• buying new equipment, books or materials
• improvements or additions to community buildings or health facilities
• paying expenses for volunteers
• transport costs

This list is not exhaustive.

What are our priority areas?
Our priority area for this year is reducing maternal and infant mortality in Cameroon because that has been the focus of our fundraising however we will consider projects that affect significant health problems affecting the Cameroonian community such as diabetes, cancer, mental health, malaria and HIV infection. We will pay for some or all of your project costs for up to 12 months, for a new or existing project.

How do you apply?
Applications should be made by completing an application form which addresses all the questions on the application form. You are more likely to be successful if your application is fully complete and you address all the questions in the application.

Your application must also be supported by a registered member of CamDocUK who will be your CamDocUK sponsor. Please forward all applications or further enquiries to secretary.general@camdocuk.org.

Application Form
Your application form should answer the following questions:
1-What is the title of your project?
2-What is the project about?
3-When would you like it to start and where will it be based?
4- Who will the project benefit? Also, how will managing the project help you develop yourself professionally, so that you can serve your community better?
5- How will you know that the project is a success, if you were supplied, with capital and you then started the project?
6- Any person else who can recommend the project? Their contact details?
7- Any costings? How much do you want from us? How will you account/report about the progress of the project?
8- How will you ensure that the project continues when our funding to you runs out?
9- Do you agree that we can use reports, including pictures of the project for marketing purposes?
10- Could you please send us the latest report about your organisation?
11. Who is the registered member of CamDocUK sponsoring your grant application?
