CHRI and CamDocUK Collaboration
From CHRI website:
“The Cameroon Humanitarian Relief Initiative (CHRI) was started with the sole mission of providing a comprehensive, citizen-driven response to the growing humanitarian crisis facing English-speaking Cameroonians as a result of the ongoing Anglophone Conflict in Cameroon.
This initiative unites well-wishers from all over the world to assist the victims of this conflict. We know you will get involved because “Every Moment Counts.”
CHRI, with your support, helps refugees, the internally displaced and others in distress or incarcerated due to the ongoing violence and conflict as a result of the Anglophone Crisis in Cameroon.
CHRI works with non-profits, religious organizations and other agencies providing services on the ground to bring life-saving necessities including food, water, accommodation, health services, education and safety as well as re-insertion and advocacy for a swift resolution of the conflict.”
CamDocUK utilized its 10th Anniversary celebrations on the 14th of July 2018 in Hinckley, Leicestershire to raise funds for the Cameroon Humanitarian Relief Initiative (CHRI).
Unfortunately, this crisis has taken a turn for the worse: several hundred have died and more than 50,000 Anglophones are refugees in Nigeria. Over 160,000 are displaced within Cameroon and hundreds are political prisoners. Pregnant women and children are scrambling for scarce rations and lack of other very basic necessities.
As a registered UK Charity, we have been touched by the efforts made by Cameroon Humanitarian Relief Initiative to date. We commend their efforts and continue to support them in their humanitarian activities. Please help financially support CHRI by clicking on the link below:
